Our award-winning founder and Managing Director, Sarah West, has added to her accolades by becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Now celebrating her thirteenth year as a Chartered Marketer, Sarah has been recognised by the institute for her long membership and professional development.
“Ever since I joined the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2005, my membership has been an important part of my own development. Becoming a Fellow feels nice after all those early years spent working towards my CIM qualifications and Chartered status” says Sarah.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing is the world’s most respected membership organisation for marketing. To become a Fellow, members must achieve an advanced CIM qualification and/or 10-15 years’ experience. Fellows are typically senior marketing directors, consultants and other professionals.
In 2008, Sarah successfully became a Chartered Marketer having gained her CIM post-graduate diploma and demonstrated her skills through work for both a national law firm and a major UK holiday company.
In 2007, Sarah had won the CIM’s Young Marketer of the Year for East Anglia for her work marketing Great Yarmouth College. In 2018, she was also named New Director of the Year for the Institute of Directors in the East of England.
“I imagine many of us have let our professional development lapse a little during the pandemic. Despite lots of women working in marketing, we are sometimes underrepresented in senior positions so it’s nice to do my little bit to fly the flag” adds Sarah.
Frustrated by a lack of strategic knowledge amongst the marketing agencies she engaged with as a senior marketing manager, Sarah founded Full Mix Marketing in 2016 with the aim to delivering the right individual mix of marketing for each of their clients.
Full Mix Marketing has subsequently grown to become the leading business-to-business marketing agency in East Anglia, supporting companies in sectors including logistics, manufacturing, engineering and IT.
The recent nationwide lockdown has seen the Full Mix Marketing team working with both existing and new clients to prepare their marketing to take advantage of the anticipated economic recovery.
“I guess my membership of the CIM reminds me that there is always more to learn. Marketing never stands still, so it spurs me on to continually discover new and better ways to achieve the results our clients need from marketing” add Sarah.
