Late December marked my first six months at Full Mix Marketing – and what a six months it’s been!
In the summer of 2022, I was searching for a new opportunity in which I could learn from experienced marketers and put my passion for writing to good use – and Full Mix Marketing has given me just that.
Now I’m in the second half of my first year here, I’ve been reflecting on everything I’ve learnt and experienced so far.
Working for East Anglia’s leading B2B marketing agency
As a Marketing Executive, I work with the rest of the Full Mix Marketing team to deliver strategic, digital and creative marketing for our diverse portfolio of B2B clients.
From construction and engineering, to professional services and the public sector, I’ve definitely learnt a lot about the all the different sectors we work with!
It’s been great to collaborate with my colleagues to produce a variety of marketing, including strategy, content, digital marketing and SEO, social media and more.
Developing new skills
Working at Full Mix Marketing has helped me develop my content creation skills even further.
As a team, we produce compelling content for our clients, such as press releases, blogs, articles, web page content and award entries. I’ve had the pleasure of creating many different types of copy – including pieces which have resulted in our clients being featured in trade press, magazines and websites.
For example, it was great to see an article I wrote on why electric underfloor heating is the future – for our clients Amber Underfloor Heating – featured in the influential Tile and Stone Journal.
Also, social media is a key part of my role and I’ve enjoyed learning more about different platforms – particularly LinkedIn – while growing the social presence of our clients.
Being part of so many interesting projects has allowed me to expand my skillset. I’ve loved worked with our multi-skilled team on everything from strategy and email campaigns, to brochure creation and branding concepts.
It’s helped me understand our client’s, their customers and how to deliver the best marketing for them.
Learning from experienced marketers
I’ve most definitely been learning from the best!
Working alongside so many talented marketers – including our Managing Director Sarah, a chartered marketer and fellow of the CIM – has been such a fantastic experience. I’ve already gained a lot from their marketing skills and knowledge.
It’s been great to work with such a wonderful team. Highlights include our Director James’ daily dose of interesting facts, as well as axe-throwing at our Christmas do!
Delivering results for our clients
A specific highlight has been delivering marketing for one of our clients – Greyfriars Project Management.
I worked with our Managing Director, Sarah, to create a strategy which helped identify, evaluate and plan the best marketing to achieve their ambitious objectives.
As well as taking on account management, I’ve created website content which has benefitted their SEO, written press releases which have gained them exposure in key trade press and delivered social media which is growing their following.
And, as well as seeing the positive results of the marketing we deliver, it’s been great to get some lovely feedback from the client too.
2023 and beyond…
It’s definitely been an enjoyable first six months at Full Mix Marketing.
As well as being a period of learning and development, it’s been the quickest six months of my life – time flies when you’re having fun!
With more exciting projects already in the works, I’m looking forward to what the second half of my first year at Full Mix Marketing will bring!
